"Caroline: Pull a Cheney!": Has Michael Moore Lost It?

Has Michael Moore Completely Lost it?

Oh noes...

Michael Moore, the former champion of health insurance for all those losers in America who don’t have it, which is rapidly winding up to be almost everyone -- says to forget Biden and Bayh for Obama’s veep and instead, choose Caroline Kennedy!

Instead, Moore says that Barack should choose Caroline Kennedy!
Why, oh why, but we don’t know why…

Two questions. Why is who will be the potential VP candidate always more important than the issues? The VP is nothing but a voter magnet for people who want to believe the presidential candidate has the same views as the VP.

And other one. Why does our system tend to choose better VP's than Presidential candidates?

OOPS! Meant to post this under the Joe Biden post, but this will work.

Actually, Caroline would make a great figurehead VP. Everyone would be so busy following her every move, Obama could do just about anything and no one in the world would notice.

Two great questions! Here are some more:

First, the title of Moore's open letter to Caroline is insulting and disturbing as it pleads for her to emulate corrupt practices of wealthy oil businessman Dick Cheney? WTF?

Michael Moore, who hangs with the "gilded" class is so shoving it in our faces with this title. I mean, he may as well have written

FOR THE FEW OF US WHO ARE ALL SO FUCKING WEALTHY AND CORRUPT, WE MUST HAVE A KENNEDY BABYSIT BARRY TO MAKE SURE HE DOESN'T FIND OUT WHERE THE BODIES ARE BURIED AS HE TAKES THE BULLET FOR THE ECONOMY WHICH WE HAVE TANKED.

After 8 years of Cheney as vp with Halliburton/KBR no bid contracts, doesn't "pull a Cheney" expressly mean the use of using one's priveleged position and wealthy insider ties to shore up profits for those insiders at the expense of the plebes?

Second, when was the veep position ever anything more than a window dressing at state funerals and emergency photo ops when the president is too wasted to stumble out of the Oval Office?

About Biden: you gotta 'love' this guy. I mean, talk about a perfect counterbalance to McCain. He'd keep and an eye on Barry, which even the most ardent Dems must be thinking.

The wealthy Moore is so desperate to see a Democrat win that he will pull out all the stops.

I am a Democrat, and find this level of Moore's negligence on the facts and issues despicable. Aside from his weak support of healthcare, what the hell has he said about

ALL OUR JOBS BEING OUTSOURCED?

Right now, I don't see a differnce between Obama and McCain as they both are for outsourcing.

Caroline Kennedy (who seems very nice) would indeed make a good figurehead. Her gracefulness and pedigree are indisputable. Even if she does care about restoring increasingly eroding civil rights and disappearing good jobs for the US middle class, has she articulated a plan to do this? For that matter, have any of the others mentioned for this slot? These matters are the only criteria that should matter.
