Bailout Bill Smells Fishy

Bailout Bill Cans American Jobs

Has anyone wondered why the so-called “bailout bill” has coincided with gazillions of lost white collar jobs to India and who has been guarding that chicken coop? Or why Goldman Sachs bribed the Senate to pass the “bailout bill” that it had first overwhelmingly rejected?

Is the $700 Billion Wall Street Bailout Bill designed to sell American white collar jobs to India? Who couldn’t be in a better position than Hank Paulson’s insider protégé, Neel Kashkari (pronounced cash - carry) of Goldman Sachs to pave the way?

As The Wall Street Journal’s Deborah Solomon reported today, Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson has promoted fellow Goldman Sachs alum Neel Kashkari, 35, the Treasury’s assistant secretary for international affairs, as the new “point man overseeing the $700 billion financial bailout as the interim head of Paulson’s Office of Financial Stability.”

How and why did the original 3 page document turn into a four hundred page-plus “bailout-bill” that that loops in green tech giveaways and IRS snooping? (hint: SF is home to Al Gore’s leading green tech, pro-outsourcing venture capital firm that is addled with former investment bankers such as Kashkari.)

Kashkari reportedly was one of three Treasury staffers–including general counsel Robert Hoyt and head of legislative affairs Kevin Fromer–who stayed up until 4 a.m. last Sunday putting together the $700 billion bailout bill that was shot down by House Republicans the next day. (Kashkari was a vice president-level banker in Goldman’s San Francisco technology banking effort when Paulson reportedly tapped him to join Treasury.)

“It’s starting to look more and more like the bailout is actually a Goldman Sach’s bailout. Something smells fishy about this appointment! Ex-Goldman Sach’s people are getting ready to clean out the American people’s 700 billion. They are drooling and getting their own pockets ready to get filled up with chunks of the 700 billion jackpot!”

Smells fishy? As the New York Post pointed out, “millions in tax breaks and related pork for kids' wooden arrows, Puerto Rican rum producers, auto race tracks, and corporations operating in American Samoa” also came out winners. American Samoa? It turns out that StarKist has a large tuna-canning operation smack-dab in American Samoa and its parent company happens to be located smack-dab in the district of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Hahaha. Oh, the drama…As if this little old 3 page bill ever were really a 3 page bill and that the subprime mortgage scam combined with continued, legalized purging of white collar jobs were based on some Great Labor Shortage or some accident. Or that we don’t know who is already a slam dunk for president next month to be the new Crime Boss of these totalitarian nanny states of feudal serf America, wrapped up in shiny, happy people sheeple speak…

Stay tuned for tomorrow's segment called "The Plebian peanut butter and crapola sandwich!"

Notice how when us little guys speak out about our financial situations, we're patted on the head and given platitudes about the greater good of the economy? Let something happen to the pocketbooks of the bigger fish and it's a catastrophe of epic proportions!

Yesterday, my son told me they studied Shay's Rebellion in history class. I looked in his textbook and found this quote from Thomas Jefferson,

"I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. Unsuccessful rebellions, indeed, generally establish the encroachments on the rights of the people which have produced them. An observation of this truth should render honest republican governors so mild in their punishment of rebellions as not to discourage them too much. It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government."

Who'd have predicted that the "sucking sound" of good jobs here going to India would include accountants, IBs etc? You'd think they would have forstalled the Goldmans Sachs & Friends party team rescue until after the election. But it looks like they got their president and his chummy backers signed on board with tax subsidies in place.

This one-time, big fat gobble at the trough and the whole road was paved with outsourced jobs and the subprime scam...who else but the GS insider foxes to come to the "rescue"? Meanwhile, the unthinking plebes mutter "what war on America's middle class?" Suckas..........

Anon, muchas gracias for Eva Moon!

Yea, It is exactly what I am thinking! And for me the connection between outsourcing and bailout pretty much clear.

Another thing bother me. The moment we are talking about outsourcing, or the flee market, instead of free market, that we have with China and other countries, etc. they tell us that any protectionizm is a socialist solution that it hurts free market. But then it comes to bailing out financial scam they act in a good socialist tradition taking my money away.

We should recall Congress Members who vote for bailout.

kat, You said it, sista!

The "P" word is only used as a deferential assault on the unwashed white collar masses, slaving away in their disappearing cubicles for less and less while these neo-frat boy asshats sell the jobs, health care and houses from under their feet.

If I hear one more clueless so-called progressive take hillbilly potshots at the thinking class about how it is "racist" to discuss how their corporate welfare queen overlords have bought the White effing House, I'm gonna hurl.

2truthy - speaking of hurling...

It makes me weep sometimes to see educated, intelligent people so brainwashed and cowed that they are no longer able to rationally discuss the most basic facts of supply and demand. I came across this thread, at the blog of a pharmaceutical chemist. It's fascinating, in a grim sort of way: trained scientists lost in doublethink and unable (or rather, unwilling) to ponder the connection and consequences of massive continuing layoffs of citizens vis à vis endless importation of immigrant "talent". So they try to address the unpleasantness of the former while pretending that the latter is Unquestionably Absolutely Wonderful for America and Americans.

So while they can see that there are fewer and fewer jobs for them (it's kind of hard to pretend that pink slip isn't real), they still fervently hold that the current visa system has nothing to do with their declining career prospects. I swear, these people would sacrifice their own children to Ba'al rather than think a thought that some chowderhead or hustler somewhere might construe as "racist". A couple of commenters try to introduce sense, but, you guessed it, they are immediately, and smugly, slammed as "xenophobes" and "immigrant bashers". God help us.

Kat - "flee market". That's a new one to me. I love it. Oh wait. Sorry, making a play on words to imply "flee to other countries" involves the racist stereotype of substituting "l" for "r". 2truthy, ban that woman immediately!

Hi Red Oak, thanks for that thread!

One recent commenter (and fellow LWOH guest blogger Mel Toast) responded to this particularly rabid and distrubing brand of "self-loathing" and rabid behavior towards one's neighbor which is on display in another recent thread at BlondeSense.blogspot.com where this article was crossposted.
